Church Plant Assistant

Overview

The Raymond Terrace Mission Adventist church plant is looking for mission-minded, dedicated Adventists willing to volunteer at the RTM Op Shop, Juice Cafe, and in many various aspects at the church plant and upcoming evangelistic series in June-July 2017.

Short-term responsibilities (under 6 months) may include:

• Preparation for public evangelism seminars
• Assistance during public evangelism seminars
• Assistance with the follow-up of the public evangelism seminars
• Door-knocking and letter-boxing
• Assistance in renovation and building the church plant
• Marketing

Long-term responsibilities (over 6 months) may include:

• Working in the Op-Shop (cashier, stock, customer service)
• Working in the Juice Bar (cashier, customer service, food preparation)

Ongoing responsibilities may include:

• Community service projects
• Helping with the children’s Sabbath School
• Assistance with Bible studies

We are looking for people with:

• a teachable spirit and a positive, Christ-like attitude
• the ability to adapt to changing situations
• the ability to work with a team
• a willingness to talk about spiritual things with visitors who come to the shop and juice bar
• a willingness to complete tasks as needed for building up the church plant

Preferred qualities (one or more of the following):

• Experience working with children (e.g., teaching, day-care, Sabbath school, etc.)
• Experience in hospitality
• Experience in sales or marketing
• Experience in management
• Experience with Bible-working

Requirements:

• Car and driver’s license (exception could be made for volunteers if accommodation will be located in the heart of Raymond Terrace)
• Working with Children’s Check
• Police Check
